More sleep and less makeup?
Study after study report that Americans don’t get enough sleep. So, what does that have to do with makeup? I thought it would be a good time to address one of the most commonly asked questions I get from my customers. “Can I sleep in this makeup?”
Well, I have this habit of answering questions with questions before offering my answer. My first question after someone asks if they can sleep in Valana Minerals is “Why would you want to sleep in makeup?” The response is usually, “I don’t know, I saw it on a commercial.” Maybe it’s because we have seen too many movies with beautiful actresses on screen ‘get out of bed’ already made up and we want that experience? If you want to sleep with makeup then it’s probably best to use Valana Minerals since it’s all natural.
Ultimately, it wouldn’t be harmful to wear Valana Minerals 24 hours a day and it would certainly be great for sales. However, I believe that when you sleep you should allow your body to rest and recuperate to prepare for another day that includes your skin. The skin around the eyes is very delicate and doesn’t need to be constantly covered with makeup, shadows and liners.
Personally, I prefer to wash and moisturize my face before bed and reapply my makeup in the morning. This is exactly what I also recommend for Valana’s customers. The NSF wants us to get more sleep and I’d suggest we do that without makeup, even if it’s ours.
What do you think about sleeping in your makeup? Do you want to and why?
