I love your ENTIRE line! The shadows are great and my eyelids feel so much better. I haven't had a sore on my lid in a couple of weeks!!! My husband really thinks that my face isn't so red and I have less pimples!!!! I can actually touch my skin without discomfort!!!! When I apply the foundation my skin feels so fresh and clean all day long! I can't get over how light the foundation is and it lasts for the entire day. I really never even touch up! Thank you so much for the free sample eyeshadow it's gorgeous. I love the flat buffer brush [Faux Collection], I used it last night after I got home, and I used this morning. It is sooooooooooooooo soft and dense; my mineral makeup goes on much smoother than with the kabuki I got from Walgreens. Is your kabuki brush that full and soft too? The Red Amber that I purchased in the summer looks better on me now than it did in the summer. I haven't had to blend it with another color. I like the Gentle Amber, especially for the area under the eyes. As you expected the Amber Dream is too dark for me, it is a beautiful color though. Thanks again for your product and your help! Oh almost forgot, the Sparkie Lip Color Stick, love it, it feels good, it's glossy and the color lasts a long time too. I want to try the Velvet Pomegranate and Porto Rosa next.

I have both Morena Nude and Sienna Nude. Really pretty colors!! I usually shy away from dark colors because I think my lips are small. This color gives me a confidence boost c= It’s smooth, soft, and pigmented enough for my dark brown upper lip. The chubby stick idea is genius. Usually my more or less sloppy lipstick application is the most noticeable when using darker shades. However, this lippie makes application soooo easy!! I love love love these pencils. Don’t ever discontinue these!! I can’t wait to see how they fair as eyeshadow/eye liner. Johanna - NJ

I just want you to know that since you told me to put less color in the lid I've been using that faux brush everyday and I LOVE it...plus it feels soooo good. I love the faux brush's softness. The finish is so smooth and flawless and I don't have to work as hard to get it to blend as with the (natural hair) kabuki brush. It's a much better application.

I have been using Valana for a few months and am totally in love with it. It is like wearing nothing and the colors are fabulous. I know, I've had the eye colors all on at one time or another, and once all at one time. Try it, you'll like.

I just want to personally thank you for providing such a superior and desperately needed product like Valana Minerals. This is the first time I've loved a product so much that I had to write an email but Valana Minerals deserves it.

I found Valana one night after I was just fed up of having to mix three different Bare Escentuals powders (one was just a yellow redness reducer) to get something that looked just good enough to go out in public. I've always had a "weird" skin color because of my mixed background (black, white, asian, and Native Amer.). I was always too red or too yellow for ANY makeup I've purchased. The mineral powders I was using made me look so dry that I had to create my own spritzer spray and lotion to pat on afterwards. I'd look greasy by the end of the day and sometimes I'd go to the mirror after hours of having it on to see that it was streaky and uneven. :o(

So I found Valana mentioned in a forum when I did a Google search. I found two other companies too. I ordered samples from all of you and Valana arrived first (thanks!). That's when I met my perfect color match for the first time...Golden Bamboo :o) It is literally perfect. My husband was amazed. I was amazed. I've saved time on my morning routine and my skin looks beautiful. I have discoloration from old acne scars and hormones and the coverage is perfect. I have so much more confidence when I go out and my face feels great all day. Thank you Thank you Thank you. I just received my second order with a full size of Golden Bamboo plus some eye shadow and other samples for contouring. Finally something for us that works. I am really pleased with the make up samples that I received. It really is everything that your website said it would be. At first I was a little leery about ordering them online. But I figured it can't be any worst than going to the malls and having the "make up specialist" there provide me with their foundations that really don't match my skin but they'll have me believing that it does just to make a buck. I'm just trying to decide between 3 of the samples that all look great on me - Earth Sable, Amber Blaze and Fire Spice. I'll be placing an order next week.

I first learned of Valana Minerals by doing a Google search for 'mineral makeup for women of color'. I looked at the Valana website and was greatly impressed. The products are so versatile and cost friendly. I ordered three foundation samples and a Sparkie Lip Gloss. I place my order on a Friday and received my package on Monday. Talk about great customer service. The Amber Blaze foundation is the perfect match for me. I have had a hard time finding foundation that will give you a radiant look without being heavy. Valana Minerals are top shelf products the foundation and lip gloss are the best. I would recommend Valana Minerals to everyone. I've got to say that I had to go back to MAC while waiting for my Valana makeup and the Valana stuff is really a superior product. I hadn't really compared the two but after running out of my Valana I had to use MAC and hated it. I'll be recommending your line to EVERYONE.

I've decided to try the products that my daughter is RAVING about. Up to now, neither of us has been able to find makeup that truly accentuates our skin tones, and usually skip the makeup altogether. I tried her sample of Fire Goddess and liked it, but I see others in your line that may work better since they are darker, so I ordered samples of them, too. I started using Valana's foundation - Golden Honey - for about a month now and I absolutely love the look and feel of it. The powder is so fine, it actually feels creamy. It stays on all day and looks totally natural. I am also using Valana's Bahia Tan bronzer - just a little dust on my face and I look like as if I'd been to the beach.(I'm a white girl - this make-up line can be used by most complexions, but it is especially formulated for darker skin tones) Enjoy!

I discovered you while doing an online search. I have been using minerals for a few years but your colors are a much better match. There don't seem to be many who do a very good job of meeting the needs of people of color...or even the pigmentationally challenged like my Swedish pals. The color descriptions were so helpful. It was also very validating (I'm not crazy!) to see that I am not the only person whose skin tone crosses over into more than one undertone. That said. I LOVE your products! The descriptions are very helpful as are the generous and inexpensive samples. I wish I could sell this stuff like Avon..I'd quit my day job. Thanks so much.

Actually since Tuesday, I've been wearing just the Red Amber and it's been fine. I've gotten compliments from my family and co-workers. Thanks for reminding me that I can use the extra sample foundations for eye shadow. I am so happy that I stumbled across Valana minerals. I liked the idea of wearing a natural mineral foundation and was really disappointed after ordering, trying out, and returning mineral foundations from Sheer Cover and Bare Minerals. They look beautiful on the caucasian and light skinned sisters. I looked like a grey ghost after I applied it and couldn't wait to wash my face. Quite naturally I was excited about Valana minerals when I read that Valana minerals was formulated for people of color. I really like that one could purchase sample mineral foundations before purchasing a full size. Also, I've learned that a little goes a long way. The cheeky cheek pots colors are gorgeous. I've only used the Cheeky Red Hibiscus (love it!) but am looking forward to using the others as well. You really have to see these colors in person to appreciate them, they are beautiful. I received my sample shades, Golden Whisper, Golden bamboo & Earth Sable and as a first time customer I must say it is so refreshing to see such such rich and beautiful shades for women of color. For the past six months I have been using mineral makeup from a local company, and have had to make due with the shades offered for ethnic complexions and I have been searching the web for companies offering mineral makeup for women of color and saw many companies including Valana minerals. I tried all three today and am so pleased with the quality of the minerals. I mixed Golden whisper with Earth Sable and the result was great. I also tried them separately. I am going to order a sample of Fire Spice to see how the shade looks on my complexion. Ultimately, I will be placing an order for full size products including eye shadows!

I'm a convert from the Bare Minerals makeup line. Valana's foundation matched my skin tone perfectly and the eye shadows and lipsticks were extremely complimentary as well. The foundation gives my skin a glow and I've received many compliments since I began using the product in August of this year. Found out about Valana Minerals will reading a magazine at the gym. Was really excited to find a mineral makeup made for darker-skinned women. Decided to take the plunge and ordered a sample kit. Found my perfect shade, Gentle Amber. It feels like you're wearing nothing on your face and your skin looks absolutely awesome! If you'd like to go natural and do something good for your skin, try it. You'll feel great!

I used your stuff last week and I was shocked at how great it worked! I was out until about 1 am and I looked great! No shine, no touch ups and my color looked fabulous…I totally loved it.

I know that at 31 years old I shouldn't be getting hickeys but my guy got carried away... For one WEEK, I had to cover 4 huge ones on my neck and used the Valana Minerals foundation with a kabuki brush to accomplish that. The coverage was amazing! The cosmetics arrived today. I have tried them, I am delighted I think the colours are lovely, thank you for enclosing the Red Hibiscus sample, I will be visiting your site again to order it. As you say in you pamphlet, although you have formulated your range mainly for women with darker skin tones many of the colours in your range will suit all skin tones (I am a very fair skinned white woman).

Thanks so much for my mineral makeup! I'm very pleased. I love it. Thank you. I'm sitting here explaining to my boyfriend that I bought your product and I love it so much. But he likes it too it looks so natural. He can't believe that I love it better than MAC. I love it. The sampling was a great way to find out which colors work best with my complexion, as I would not have known which to purchase otherwise. Sweet amber and amber blaze work best with my complexion. I kind of use amber blaze as a highlight and sweet amber as a base. I've tanned quite a bit so this may change sometime around November/December when I lighten up again. The makeup doesn't wear off and it looks natural, not caked on like MAC. Plus, it does stay on a lot longer as well. I'm very pleased. I'll definitely be ordering more product. I'll be seeing my esthetician this week and I'll suggest that she recommend this product to her clients. Thanks again!

As an aside, I wanted to tell you that I am expecting. I have especially appreciated being able to trust Valana Minerals during this time because since it is a natural product I have not had to be concerned about whether my use of it is healthy for my baby. It has been a God-send for my hormone-induced pregnancy acne (I looked like a 16 year old for the first half of my pregnancy). It wasn't until now, being pregnant and responsible for the health of someone other than myself, that I really seriously considered the importance of having a natural cosmetic product to use. I've had to discontinue the use of all of my acne and eczema medications as well as the use of some of my other facial products, but there was never a question as to whether I could use my foundation. So, thanks again and keep up the fantastic work.

INCREDIBLE! I've had samples of Valana Minerals formulated for white skin in my makeup bin for over a year. I finally decided to give Fire Mist a try and must say it rises above all other foundations (liquid and powder) I have used. I do not like my face to have a "make- up" look. The smallest bit of Valana Minerals covered every blemish and left me with a healthy, natural look.

I have to admit, I'm a skeptic when it comes to wearing foundation, as I am a light brown African American Queen and I have been stuck with one shade of foundation from both Fashion Fair and Flori Roberts. As most know, we come in a lot of shades of light brown. Valana's foundation is so light that you forget that you're wearing foundation until you look in the mirror. I also like the fact that it takes only seconds to apply. Until Valana was created, I only wore foundation on special occasions, but now I wear it practically daily to work, plus I don't have to reapply it through the day. I brought my daughter who is several shades darker than I, plus my two nieces, who are different shades of light brown, for a make over with Valana products. All of the girls (ages 14 to 16) makeup looked natural on them and at the same time they stood out. Your makeup is a good way to teach my daughter and nieces the difference between quality and quantity. When they get older, they will appreciate and value the better things in life. We all had a ball, and the make-overs were good for their self esteem.” I am a Valana customer for life.

I've used different cosmetic products throughout my life. I've tried the ones I find at my local drug store as well as the ones behind department stores. My needs are rather specific, not just because I have a combination skin in terms of my color, but also in terms of my skin's moisture. I tend to be oily across my forehead and in the past had issues with acne. The products I've used in the past not only have missed the mark in matching my tan to olive undertones, but they did not work with my oily skin. Some of the foundations that promised help with my oily skin have irritated my skin, made it look ashy and or produce a lot more oil. I actually had given up on my attempt to find makeup that would work just fine. Then about a month ago, I learned of Valana Minerals and though skeptic at first, I went for a makeover. And a makeover it was. I was made over from the inside out. I finally found a makeup that, rather than correcting or covering my flaws, does a perfect job enhancing my natural beauty. I totally love my Earth Diva foundation and Velvet Guava and Porto Rosa lip creams! Not to mention the indulgent Forest Spirit eye shadow collection. I was so exited with my makeover that I went ahead and did not take off the makeup before my gym session. To my pleasant surprise the make up did not run off or look pasty after my work out. That was the ultimate test for me, a make up that still looks great after a gym session. I'm a Valana convert!!

I love the new Faux brushes.  I just bought the whole set and am so pleased with how soft and plushy they feel.  The coverage using the mineral makeup is much smoother than with the other brushes I’ve tried.  I also like that they are not animal hair.  The price is right, the quality is excellent, and the final product is fabulous.

I swear to you that I am STILL overwhelmed and honestly moved to tears over the range of foundation colors found in your mineral makeup line!! It is a beautiful thing! Now even I can 'tap and swirl' with effective mineral coverage like everyone else in the mineral makeup infomercials and ads that are just about everywhere. Okay, so I got the Girlfriends and Coffee set and thought, hmm, what different things can I do with these? I'm particularly happy with Valana's Sparkle Lips Color Stick and how I can dip the brush into the eyeshadow for different lip colors. The eyeshadow colors are so smooth... they blend really nicely with the lipgloss for deeper shiny color. Cheers Valana!
